The phenomenon of the "Arabian Spring" has drawn attention of the whole world to the events occurring in the region. Its discussion started on 21.09.11, on a scientific colloquium in Kiev, however the topic appeared to be too extensive that it could be comprehensively disclosed within one meeting. Therefore, on Friday, on December, 16th, 2011, in Simferopol was continued the discussion which was organized by the AUASO "Alraid" on the round table "Basic religious and religious-political trends in the Islamic world against revolutions in the Arab countries".
In the session took part experts in religion issues (including the head of the department on religion of the Ministry of Culture of the ARC, Alexander Selevko), and also representatives of scientific community from the leading higher educational institutions of the peninsula
In the opening address the pro-rector on study of the CEPU, Professor Mueddin Khayruddinov wished all the present constructive work. Then he asked to speak the leading research assistant of the Department of Asia and Africa of the Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the NAS of Ukraine, vice-president of the AUSO "Ukrainian Center of Islamic Studies", Vyacheslav Shved, PhD.
The sources of the "Arabian spring"
Report of Vyacheslav Aleksandrovich, "Muslim Brotherhood in modern political process of Egypt and the Middle-Eastern region" caused a particular interest among experts.
In his speech he paid attention to the essence of events which take place in the Middle East, after all, in his opinion the so-called "Arabian spring" is by its essence the process of civilization naturalization of the Arab world (restoration of its civilization identity) on the basis of Islam which absorbs in it all achievements of the mankind.
The orientalist considers that this matter is not introduced and not inspired from the outside, but financial, organizational, ideological, political preconditions of the present transformational changes were generated in the Arab world; and the countries from the structure of the council of cooperation of the Arabian states of the Gulf (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman) became the main motive power of "the Arabian spring".
The aim of these monarchies, according to the scholar, is the reconstruction of the civilizational uniformity of the Arabian space, in order to start the potential and mechanisms of Islam as doctrines and programs, including the models of economic development of the region. "It should lead to returning of the Arab world to those advanced positions of the development of a human civilization which the Arab world had more than 1000 years ago", emphasized V.Shved.
Islam - stimulus to development
The Mufti of the Religious Administration of Muslims of Ukraine "Ummah", the master of religious studies, Said Ismagilov, in his report "Islamic factors in the Arabian national revolutions" especially noticed the fact that the Muslim world promptly changes. The Arab countries of Africa and Asia, in his opinion, "are shaken from the events of "the Arabian spring", which smoothly passed into "the Arabian autumn", risking to be stretched until "the Arabian spring-2".
The expert on Sharia issues has drawn attention of the gathered to the fact that the main civilization sense, the essence of the Arabian spring is the revival of Islamic identity of the Arabian people, revival of its cultural-historical code.
The Mufti of "Ummah" considers that for today the special role is played by Turkey which successfully combines adherence to Islam with principles of democracy and becomes the leader in the Middle East. The example of this state gives to the Arab countries hope for construction of modern civilized states not to the detriment of their Islamic identity. However the issue, whether the Arab countries could repeat or surpass achievements of their Turkish fellow Muslim brothers, remains opened.
At present there are several religious-political movements which declare aspiration of conformity to Islamic principles in their activity, opinions on several issues and implementers of their program.
The Master of Shariah sciences, Seyran Arifov, in his report "Analytical cycle about trends in the Islamic world" explained the essence of such formations as Muslim Brotherhood, Salafites, Khizb-ut-tahrir and Habashites in details; and also disagreements which still exist between the given trends and the position which they occupy in a percentage parity in the Arab world.
Each of the reports presented on the round table was followed by brisk discussion in which the gathered experts could exchange opinions and to study the mentioned issues more deep and versatile.
