Within Limits of Хth Conferences of Members of AUASO "Alraid" elected new Head of Association - Bassil Mareei

Embodying elective principle of supervising bodies, on December, 17-18th, 2011, at the tenth conference of organizations-members of the AUASO "Аlraid" by open voting of the delegates, the new chairman of the Association and the head of the revision committee for the next four years were elected. Bassil Mareei became the new chairman of the AUASO "Alraid"; and Sayran Arifov was elected as the head of the revision committee.

At this General meeting were present more than 40 delegates from all over Ukraine: chairmen of social organizations and heads of Islamic cultural centers, heads of structural divisions and Association departments. 

As the observer at the meeting acted Dr. Yahya Al-Alam, the representative of the Federation of Islamic Organizations of Europe (FIOE) which member is the AUASO "Alraid". Ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic corps of several Arabian countries - Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Palestine, etc, visited the action.

Creating the Association, its founders initially were guided by such democratic principle, as consultative participation (the Islamic principle of "shura"). 

 

Main objective of the general meeting and elections is the activity estimation for the previous period: the team of the Association in the name of its chairman reports on the work done and then abdicates. Not less important purpose is increase of overall performance of the team, after all each active participant of the organization can stand on the supervising position. Thus actual program ideas are introduced and possibilities of their realization are created. 

 

Government programs cannot fully capture all spheres of life of its citizens and for this reason social activity is an important sector of work not only in the developing societies, but also in the developed countries. 

The AUASO "Alraid" is not just active public work for preservation of Islamic identity of the Ukrainian Muslims, but also the civil initiative on the way to mutual understanding and consent achievement in the Ukrainian society.

After solemn opening the previous head of the AUASO "Alraid", Doctor Ismail Kady, spoke with the report on the done work from 2009 to 2011, having told to the present about successes in administrative, educational, charitable, information and other fields of activity of the Association. He also told about the course of execution of the strategic plan for 2008-2012.  

 

In his turn, Doctor Bassil Mareei, heading in the accounting period the revision committee, acted with the report where he mentioned the most important principles by which the Association is guided in its activity – openness before the Ukrainian society and positive cooperation; rationalization of expenses; preservation of Islamic identity of the Muslim minority of the country.

The participants of the General meeting considered the problems which "Alraid" faced for the last period, and expressed gratitude to the representatives of the organizations-members and executive committee for their active and fruitful work on objects in view for the good of the Muslims of Ukraine and the whole Ukrainian society. 

 

The Association for years of its activity became very influential, having gained trust of private and state persons. To fruitful work of the Association testifies that its activity finds support at the authorities. Success of the organization is explained by the principles of its work: openness to the dialogue and cooperation, sincere charity, active social position and real help to the society.

The activity of the AUASO "Alraid" aspires to show that Muslims are the people bearing the good; breaks the stereotypes imposed from the outside, proving that the efforts of Muslims are directed to the goodness of the mankind.  

 

On the end of the conference the newly elected head of the AUASO "Alraid" and the chairman of the revision committee thanked all the present and prayed to the Almighty for His help in the further work of the Association.
