In the Islamic Centre Al-Qardawi and At-Tajdid concerning the Faculty of Islamic Sciences at the Qatar fund, was carried out training on Islamic Fiqh on the topic "Methodology of fatwa and laws of Muslim minorities".
As a part of the Ukrainian delegation led by the head of the Committee on Fatwa, Sheikh Imad Abu ar-Rub, there were also members of the committee, representatives of the Islamic cultural centers and social organizations of the AUASO "Alraid".
The seminar started on Saturday, on May, 14th, 2011, and lasted for five days. In the course of this time the participants heard to 14 lectures on such vital topics, as methodology of Fatwa issuing, Islamic call and dialogue of religions, and also Fiqh of Muslim minorities.
The practical seminar was also held on work about references behind the theological conclusion and issuing of Fatwa which should be as much as possible useful management for reality situations which Muslims in non-Muslim societies face.
The lectures were carried out by the professor of the Faculty of Islamic Researches at Qatar fund, Shariat Faculty, Qatar University, and also some scientific employees of the centre Al-Qardawi and At-Tajdid.
At the first lecture on the topic "Efforts of Muslims in dialogue with other religions", the head of "Al-Qardawi" Centre, doctor Muhammad Halifa Hasan told about efforts of some well-known Muslim scholars in this area, such as Abu Rayhan al-Biruni, Ibn Hazm al-Andalusi, Muhammad ash-Shahrastani and how they made inter-religious dialogue means of acquaintance with other religions, inter-confessional cooperation, distribution of authentic knowledge of Islam.
Doctor Halifa noted importance of inter-confessional dialogue in correction of image of Muslims, strengthening of relations with followers of other religions, strengthening of unity of the society, and also mutual understanding and cooperation deepening. He warned about political operation of this question and consequences of opaque financing of conferences of inter-confessional dialogue, and also designated independence, democratic character, spirituality and permanent work in this direction as necessary conditions for successful dialogue.
He also paid attention that it is not necessary to confuse concepts "dialogue" and "dispute", after all dialogue is constructed on reconciliation, and dispute grows out of disagreements and fanaticism, having emphasized that Islam is based on faith in universality of the Creator, unity of the human nature, recognition of religious pluralism and distinctions between people.
Importance of inter-confessional dialogue with the gathered was also discussed by Doctor Ibrahim An-Nuaymi.
Moreover, the participants of the training visited a number of institutions with a view of acquaintance with their work and cultural exchange. Among them were: the Faculty of Religion of the University of Qatar at which visiting the participants were accompanied by the manager of one of the chairs, doctor Aisha Manaya; and edition of the web site of the Ministry of Religion where they could familiarize themselves with the organization of work of the resource and its divisions; and also some city sights.
