"Road to Mecca": the book coming back to the author's hometown

On September 21, the presentation of expected by Islamic scholars book “Road to Mecca” (“Шлях до Мекки”) written by a prominent Muslim leader Muhammad Asad was held in the “Franko’s House” (“Dim Franka”) during the XXV Lviv International Book Forum. The book was translated by Yuri Kosenko. Muhammad Asad’s (Leopold Weiss) hometown has already seen the reprint presentation of the original edition several years ago - at the XXII International Publishers’ Forum.

Mufti RAMU "Ummah" Said Ismagilov, well-known orientalist and translator Mykhailo Yakubovych, researcher at the Ivan Franko literary-memorial museum of Lviv, Solomiya Vivchar presented this book to readers.

Sheikh Said told that the Ukrainian translation of this world bestseller has not existed until now. Only in English it was republished 14 times, without regard translations into other languages. Thanks to the cooperation between translator Yuri Kosenko, "Alraid", and RAMU "Ummah", Muhammad Asad’s fellow-countrymen will finally be able to read it in their native language.
