“Al-Masar” And “The Red Cross” Teach How To Give First Aid

knowing how to give first aid in different situations never hurt any person, and in the current uneasy times having such skills get even more important. having this in mind, Mr.Bilal Hamze, Head of Odessa Islamic Cultural Centre “Al-Masar”, contacted Ms.Tamara Barnych, head of the local regional Ukrainian Red Cross Organisation, and arranges a series of trainings for the ICC volunteers.

First lesson given by the Red Cross specialists at the Centre was dedicated to giving first medical and psychological aid in case of gassing, depression, heart attack, blood stroke and heart failure. Muslim men and women listened attentively, asked follow-up questions and trained the necessary skills.

Thei medical education, however, won’t be limited to this: a series of lessons is planned, and the nearest one covers giving adequate aid in case of different kinds of burns, sun and heat strokes; and further lessons are to cover different injuries, fractures and wound dressing.
