Last Friday, Kyiv ICC held a Qur’an recitation contest for girls and women, and today, after the Friday prayer, we are happy to announce the winners and prize-winners, who were awarded with money prizes, copies of Qur’an with Tajweed (rules of beautiful recitation) and special gifts, namely Hafidhah’s Diaries, so that the women could systematize their learning process when memorizing the Holy Book. The youngest participants, in addition, also received sweets.
So, there were only 4 participants in the “Debut” category, all girls younger than 10 years. No places were defined among them, but instead their very effort receives a heartfelt support, and they all got encouragement awards.
Among the contestant of the 2nd level (half of a Juz, surahs 87-144), nobody scored enough to get the I place, but the II prize was shared between Anna Telnova and Medina Arifova, and III place was shared by Zena Al-Bekhesi and Karima Guzik.
Participants of the 3rd level competed in best knowledge and recitation of the 30th Juz, with the I prize won by Margaryta Bodretska, II prize by Noor An-Najar, and III prize shared between Dania Amir and Aisha Al-As.
As of the “2 Juz” category, the main prize was rightly won by Samira Alibekova.
Congratulations to all the prize-winners, and good luck in learning the Holy Book for every participant, especially since it’s Ramadan, the month of reading (and why not memorizing?) the Qur’an.
