More than two dozens of teenaged girls from Kyiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya and Vinnytsya gathered at Kyiv Islamic Cultural Centre last weekend in order to participate in a two-day seminar-training.
Ms.Sabrin Ashur and Ms.Ruslana Martsynishyna, teachers at Gymnasium “Our Future”, and Master of Shariah Mr.Seyran Arifov spoke of importance of constant self-improvement, estimation of their progress (or lack of it) as a person, a Muslim, as family man, a friend, a specialist…
A person, however, can’t be fully objective when estimating herself, so they have to ask for some other people’s opinion in order to self-improve. Seek advice from someone whose opinion you trust when studying different aspects of your own life. Positive approach plays key role in it: you’re asked for advice not for accentuating the lacks of other people and make them draw into their shells, but show them their traits of character that need improving in a soft and delicate manner.
This method was practiced at once: each participant wrote her name on a sheet of paper, and everyone wrote their advice on what needs improving in a king and friendly manner.
Girls went for an excursion over Kyiv sights in the end of day 2.
