An educational Caravan “Muhammad is Mercy to the worlds”, started on January 12, 2014, has come to its accomplishment. This is the ninth year already since the project was launched by the UAASO “Alraid” in order to achieve the very same goal, i.e. to provide as many people as possible with direct information on Prophet Muhammad’s personality. Everyone can find good example in his high morals and actions.
Sverdlovsk
The Caravan started its trim at the most Eastern mosque of Donbass, situated in the town of Sverdlovsk, Luhansk region. More than 50 believers came to listen to the scholars, namely Mufti of RAMU “Umma” Mr. Said Ismagilov and more than 80 year-old local Imam Mr. Sharif Jan.
As usual, everyone willing could pick free books, audio-CDs and DVDs about Islam.
Alchevsk
Local community Imam, Mr. Girfan Gildeev made sure that the event in their mosque would be the most manifold. More than 70 people attended the mawlid on January 18. Local City Administration sent its representative with a letter of felicitation, and the Imam quoted the verses of Qur’an describing the high morals and qualities of the Last Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, clarifying each of them with examples from the Sunnah.
Children got another chance to demonstrate their knowledge of the Holy Qur’an and received presents.
Torez
Cultural programme in Torez was supplemented by a cooking contest, where the Muslim women competed in making salads and cold refreshments, and the quests eagerly tasted and judges the results.
Donetsk
During the whole month of Rabi-al-Awwal a range of events on Mawlid was held at the local Islamic Cultural Centre, namely preachings and seminars on Prophet Muhammad’s qualities as a father, a brother, a husband, a leader, a warlord, an educator and simply a human being. This cycle was accomplished by a festive dinner with sweets at the end of the month.
Other Cities
The youngest of the guests at Mawlid in the town of Snezhnoe, Donetsk region, received presents of toys and sweets after the event was over.
Muslim religious community “Duslyk” (Tat. “Friendship”) from Kirovsk doesn’t have its own mosque yet, so they accepted the proposal from their coreligionists from Stakhanov and held Mawlid at their mosque on January 26. Besides lectures, they hld a small concert where children recited poems about Islam, God and Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
Mawlid in Krasnyi Luch, Luhansk region, took place on January 27. One of the parishioners of the local mosque wrote verses expressing her admiration of Prophet Muhammad in Tatar language. As most of the people present knew this language well, they gave a rousing cheer to the poetess.
