Reference to the Crimean-Tatar People in Connection with 67th Anniversary of Deportation

Dear brothers and sisters! The mournful date of the next anniversary of deportation of the Crimean-Tatar people from its historical Native land approaches. Terrible tests fell to the fate of the Crimean Tatars; however they stood strong, having preserved their culture, religion and great love to their Motherland.

Heroic struggle of the Crimean Tatars for returning to Crimea in which course the people and its leaders have shown surprising firmness, proceeded for several decades. In this struggle they were supported by the best representatives of Ukrainians and other people of the former USSR, world community. For two decades of the new life in Crimea the Crimean Tatars brought worthy contribution to the public life and peninsula development. Nowadays the Crimean-Tatar people face uneasy questions. First of all they are connected with the changes which took place in the political life of Ukraine for the last months. Events in the country and round it develop promptly, fatal decisions are accepted with unprecedented earlier speed — all of it demands thoughtful and weighed perception. We are assured that experience, authority and responsibility of the Mejlis of the Crimean-Tatar people and its management will help to draw correct conclusions and to take steps, which will promote to prosperity of the Crimean-Tatar people, to strengthening of sociopolitical stability in Crimea. We wish to assure you, dear Crimean-Tatar brothers, that you have loyal friends in the name of the all-Ukraine Association of Social Organizations "Аlraid". We ask Allah the Almighty for blessing for the Crimean-Tatar people; we ask to support your formation and strengthening on the native earth after the difficult years of the deportation! May Allah grant you patience to resist to calls of the present and give inexhaustible forces in the duty of revival of religion, culture and traditions. May the Lord direct us to light and facilitate the path leading to His content!
