In Donetsk took place first International scientifically-practical Conference "Islam and Islamic Studies in Ukraine" (Video)

The management of the Donetsk State University of Computer Science and Artificial Intellect invited representatives of Islamic clergy and social organizations to discuss issues of religion, culture and mutual cooperation.

The Donetsk area occupies the second place in Ukraine by the quantity of Muslims, conceding only to the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. The Mufti of the Religious Administration of Muslims of Ukraine "Ummah", Said Ismagilov, stated about it at scientifically-practical conference. At the same time, the exact quantity of adherents of Islam in Donbass for today is not counted. According to the representatives of Muslim communities, one should be engaged not in kindling of inter-religious hatred, but in unification of forces of all faiths, creating unique atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding. For example, in Ukraine there are unique conditions for the development of the so-called religious tourism when visitors of the country visit the most known temples and relics of all creeds.

Organizers of the action assure that they intend to make the conference annual and to gather on it the best experts in the field of Islamic problematic both from Ukraine, and from foreign countries, in particular, from Europe and Russia.
