Association "Аlraid" referring to the decision of the European Council on Fatwa, declares Friday, August, 21, to be the first day of the Holy Month of Ramadan in
Ukraine.

Actually, appearing of the new moon in the sky what means the beginning of Ramadan, is expected on Thursday, August, 20th, at 13 o'clock 2 minutes.

On Friday, August, 21, 2009, in all Islamic centers of
Ukraine the solemn sermon and the collective prayer of Muslims devoted to the beginning of the Holy Month of Ramadan will be held.

It is necessary to notice that in the Islamic centers will take place the special program devoted to the month of Ramadan.
