Having started last week, a football competition for the cup of “Al-Isra” Social Organisation (the city of Vinnitsa) endures. Eight teams have already played the ⅔ of quarterfinals; semi-finals and final game are still ahead in the end of April.

Such competitions among the Vinnitsa Muslim Youth are annual. People participate for the game sake only — the champion team is only awarded with a cup and set of medals, one for each player. As for the young people, they see this a chance of personal fulfillment, channeling their competitiveness and having a good time. The facilitators, on their part, take this as an opportunity to motivate the youth for sports and healthy living.
