Mrs. Ninning Suningsigh Rohadiat came to the Islamic Cultural Center of the All-Ukrainian Association of Public Organizations “Alraid” in Kiev with farewell visit, where she met activists of the Women’s Public Organization “Mariyam”.

 

 

Mrs. Ambassador whose authorities in Ukraine will end in a few days spoke about her country and about active standing of women in the Indonesian society. As an Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of a state with prevailing Muslim population, she represents a clear objection of stereotypes that “a Muslim woman can achieve nothing in social and carrier promotion, because she must seat home with children and engage only in household matters”, or “for a woman wearing modest clothes and a head cover, carrier promotion is forbidden”.

 

 

“Thanks for all of you, for your active standing, your permanent willingness for self-development and social engagement. Thank you for our communications and friendship, as this makes our life brighter and more exciting. Thank you for the warmth that I used to find in your company, and for fruitful cooperation.
