On January, 20th, 2012, the sixth children's hospital of Dnepropetrovsk received medical equipment from the Social Organization "Al-Mustaqbal" which is a part of the AUASO "Alraid".
Similar actions pass some years successively; the Organization collects feasible means for purchase of equipment for hospitals which need it most.
This time the means, for scales for babies essential for the hospital, containers for sterilization of tools and electric pump were collected by more than three hundred Muslim students from different universities of the city.
The student of the fifth year of the Medical Academy, Muhammad, came from Palestine. Together with other medical students he passed training in the sixth hospital. Then the students learned about an acute shortage of the equipment and decided to help, having started collecting funds through the Social Organization "Al-Mustaqbal". The issue considered not just future physicians; among the participants in the charitable action there were also economists and architects.
Muhammad explained to the correspondents of the "11th channel" that they just wished to be good Muslims, after all Islam teaches the believing to render feasible help to everyone in need. It brings up feeling of brotherhood and unity in people.
Yury Bolbot, the dean of the faculty of foreign students of the Dnepropetrovsk State Medical Academy welcomes participation of foreign students (which are about a thousand in the university) in social associations, and "Al-Mustakbal" is in good standing with the university management.
In the branch of prematurely born children of hospital No 6 the new equipment was impatiently awaited for. An electrical pump, according to the doctors, is just necessary for care of prematurely born children. And though its cost is insignificant - all one and a half thousand Hrivnas - officials could not find means for device acquisition in any way.
The head of the branch of prematurely born children, Victoria Ostrometskaya, informed that electrical pumps, because of their shortage, are transported at each necessity from chamber to chamber that takes away precious time for rendering of medical aid and complicates medical staff work.
At present the branch is still in need of three more electrical pumps, therefore the sixth city hospital of Dnepropetrovsk looks forward to any sponsor's help.
